Greetings! One of the defining characteristics of our denomination is the itineracy. Simply stated, this means that annually, each clergy person is appointed to serve in a ministry setting for one year. I will complete my third consecutive one-year appointment at Chapel Hill in June. Effective July 1st, I will receive a new appointment, and Chapel Hill will receive a new pastor, Rev. JD Allen.
I trust and pray that you will continue the transformative work you have begun. And I sincerely believe God will keep His hand on Chapel Hill.
It has been my honor to serve alongside you for the past three years. Thank you for your patience and support. I have learned much. As part of our commitment to the itineracy, each clergy person strives to leave their place of appointment a little better than when they first arrived. I hope this is the case with Chapel Hill.
