I am pleased to announce that, starting this week, we have a new office manager. His name is Alan Pollock. Many of you have met Alan as he has attended worship here for the last few months and sang in the choir a few times before the choir went on summer hiatus. Let us welcome Alan to the office with an enthusiastic embrace.
This week, the office hours will be Tuesday through Friday 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The regular office hours going forward will be Monday through Thursday 10:00 am to 2:00 pm starting the week of August 1. We are thankful that the office manager search is complete as we seek to replace the wonderful work that Adam Richards and Alec McKay did for Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in the preceding years. We are also thankful that Adam will be available this week to train Alan for the job.
Beyond the regular office hours, I will be available by appointment and can be reached directly on my cell phone at (972) 467-7756. I will generally be in the office in the mornings and can be available in the afternoons. However, I will be seeking to spend more time in our community making connections as we seek to fulfill our United Methodist mission of “making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.”
