Thank you to everyone who attended and helped with our Emergency Response Team Training this past Saturday. We learned quite a bit about how we can help as a team and had a delicious lunch provided by Family Life. This training will help us to be prepared for when disasters strike such as Hurricane Harvey, the tornadoes in Garland and Rowlett, and many others. If you were unable to attend the training, please go to our conference’s website (https://www.northtexasumc.org/hurricane-harvey/) and sign up for a different date! There will be a training this Saturday, November 4th at Church of Disciple UMC in DeSoto starting at 9 am. If you were able to attend this past Saturday or another training around the metroplex, please email Emily in the office that you attended to finish the enrolling process.
