Greetings everyone! My name is Adam Lubbers and I am the new youth director at Chapel Hill! I’m currently a seminary student at Perkins School of Theology in SMU where I am working toward an MDiv. I am from Granbury, to the southwest of Dallas, and I grew up in church. I attended Abilene Christian University where I earned a degree in the Bible and a degree in History, and where I met my wife, Courtney. I’ve volunteered and worked at many churches, mostly United Methodist, and am happy to be in ministry at the wonderful church of Chapel Hill United Methodist! I have wanted to be a minister of Christ for as long as I have been a Christian, so I am thankful to be given the opportunity at Chapel Hill. When I am not doing schoolwork or doing ministry, I enjoy drinking tea, playing racquetball, playing trombone, reading, travelling, fantasy football, and watching movies. If you ever want to chat, bring me tea, or challenge me to racquetball, I will be around the church on Sundays! Perhaps I can even convince you to volunteer and cook a meal for one of the many YMYF Dinners every Sunday from 5:00-7:30. The youth and I would certainly be grateful!
