First of all, I would like to thank everyone for their wonderful hospitality shown for Josh and me after church this past Sunday. I would like to send a special thank you for the members of the SPRC who organized the reception for the both of us. I would also like to thank the adult volunteers who helped with UMYF last Wednesday, either by bringing food, helping clean up, or by simply being there to help in any way. It was greatly appreciated.
Secondly, we will be keeping the UMYF time as is during the summer, and there will be many fun and exciting things that will happen while everyone is out of school. Parents, I am asking for volunteers for anyone who may be interested in preparing a snack supper for Wednesday evenings, as well as volunteers to help teach Sunday school on Sundays. Please keep an eye out for an email within the next couple of days for a sign-up sheet. Simply let me know what day(s) you would like to prepare food and/or teach Sunday school, by emailing me at youth@chapelhillumc.org or by calling the church.
Youth, there will be opportunities to participate in worship on Sunday mornings, so if you are interested, please let me know. Also, don’t be afraid to invite friends to UMYF on Wednesday nights. There will be lots of fun and exciting things in store for the summer, and no one will want to miss out.
